  • “Aloha Princess is a heartwarming film with colorful characters, and plenty of humor, drama, and conflict to keep an audience entertained. The concept of an aspiring filmmaker who needs tuition money learning she's Hawaiian royalty is a fun, unique concept that is appropriate for the family genre. The element of her father dying and there being confusion about how he died works well as a kind of crime plotline that adds to the well rounded tone of this film. Kalani is a strong protagonist because she has a clear goal - to get into film school and leave "the rock". And she has plenty of obstacles in her way for her to overcome. The plot twist of her finding out that she's Hawaiian royalty gives this film a point of difference that makes it stand out from others of its kind. The Hawaiian element is appealing both in terms of the world that's set up and in terms of diversity and marketing. The dialogue is generally natural and conversational, which makes the script easy to read. There are humorous lines that nicely break up the tension and provide relief from the drama throughout.”

  • "What this story is about, or the concept, is unique and compelling. The premise of a father daughter gambling team is sure to grab the attention of viewers. It is clear that this story is about a down on her luck dealer who teams up with her ex-con father to take on a gambling competition, win the pot, and take revenge on the man who put her father behind bars. The antagonistic forces against Kimi provide a good amount of conflict as her journey isn’t easily won. Running and operating her own casino has potential as well. Overall, the concept stands out as a highlight. How this story is being told, aka the voice, also works well. The writing demonstrates an excellence of the craft by using a unique word choice and style to draw you into the story. The descriptions of the setting and characters are vivid yet economical. The cheeky tone comes across in the descriptions as well as dialogue evoking the attitude Kimi has throughout, which is a steadfast savviness. It gives this story personality and elevates it. "

  • This is such a fun idea, and in the current political climate, where we have our first Second Gentleman, it’s a topical and current take on the romantic comedy. Jake’s step into this new world is refreshing, and Anna’s strong navigation of the political system is believable and authentic. We can see all sorts of personal and political drama playing out as these two attempt to make their relationship work in the biggest of spotlights. The story also boasts some really fun dialogue, and not only do Anna and Jake have chemistry in their verbal banter, the supporting cast is wry and engaging. Wilma is a standout here - her personality as friend, assistant, and tough-love voice of reason for Anna is useful and credible. We also really like Anna herself - she’s passionate about her causes, and the script wisely makes her Native American background a part of her story, creating a great role and adding diversity to the cast. Overall, this is engaging and fun, and the combined worlds of baseball and politics are a nice contrast. Anna and Jake have a good oil and water chemistry going, and we’re rooting for them to get past their differences and find a way to make it work.

  • “The concept of Aloha Princess is one that stands out in the way that it approaches Hawaiian culture and the revelation that Kalani is a descendant of the Hawaiian Monarchy. Aloha Princess is an interesting and intriguing concept that with a bit more direction would be a strong and unique story that is not seen regularly in the drama genre. Kalani and the revelation that she is a direct descendant of the monarchy of Hawaii is a strong storyline to follow from start to finish.”

  • "The main characters are well-handled. Maya is a compelling protagonist who faces personal challenges while pursuing her dream. Suby’s transition from reluctance to acceptance reflects a satisfying character arc, showing her willingness to evolve and collaborate with Maya. Both characters have clear motivations, obstacles, and personal growth throughout the narrative, making their execution engaging and dynamic”

  • “The concept of Delta Pi is an interesting twist on a fish out of water story. The situation itself creates an environment where the characters will encounter conflicts with Jordan living in the fraternity, as well as their own conflicts as students. "

  • "This is a solid script that showcases the writer’s creativity and knack for world-building. It sets the stage for an abundance of storylines while, at its heart, drawing the reader into Kira’s character development and her relationship with Henry.”

  • “Nature's Way possesses several strengths that contribute to its potential as a compelling script. From its engaging and well-developed characters to its compelling central relationship, smart dialogue, tight plot structure, and professional presentation, the script showcases the elements necessary for an engaging and enjoyable viewing experience. With the right execution and further consideration of its genre and marketability, "Nature's Way" has the potential to captivate audiences and stand out in the competitive landscape of romantic comedies.”

  • “Dealer Kimi's character leaps off the page with voice and energy, whether it is her ability to recognize the Lord and Taylor soap that a rival player is wearing, from the Venetian, or the perceptive reveal that she manages to pull off at the climactic final moments of the tournament. Her fraught, complex relationship with Flip, her father, is at once both heartbreaking and authentic, while even more minor, secondary characters throughout the script — loyal waitress friend Pokey calling Kimi out in dealing to avoid gambling like a recovering alcoholic bartending to prove something; gay bartender Tommy's flirtatious spark and jovial devotion – feel every bit as nuanced and well-drawn. Equally compelling is the deceitful conspiracy revolving around Arnie, the tournament, and a series of backhanded deals and betrayals that culminate in a shocking series of revelations, while the final, closing notes feel at once both poignant and cathartic. Vivid, realistic, and well-conceived, this script is in many ways captivating."
